Tina Turner, born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is often referred to as the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll" and is known for her powerful vocals, energetic performances, and iconic stage presence.


Tina Turner rose to fame in the 1960s as the lead singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, a musical duo she formed with her then-husband Ike Turner. Together, they achieved success with hits like "River Deep – Mountain High" and "Proud Mary." However, their personal and professional relationship was troubled, and Tina eventually left Ike and embarked on a solo career.




In the 1980s, Tina Turner experienced a major comeback with her solo album "Private Dancer," which spawned several chart-topping hits including "What's Love Got to Do with It" and "Private Dancer." She became one of the biggest female pop stars of the decade and won multiple Grammy Awards for her work. Her electrifying performances and distinctive voice captivated audiences worldwide.


Throughout her career, Tina Turner has sold over 200 million records, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. She has also achieved numerous accolades, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a Kennedy Center Honors award.
